The country is vast and covers over 760,000 square miles.It is the 14th largest independent nation in the world, with an estimated population of 111 million people. It is made up of thirty-one states and the capital city, Mexico City. Despite its many attributes, it still has many problems, especially the uneven distribution of income which results in there being many poor people in Mexico.
The mix of Indian and Spanish cultures makes Mexico very rich and diverse.The Mexicans love their festivals and holidays and like to have many parties. One famous part of the festivities is the use of the piñata, which has even made its way into United State culture.
History
The history of Mexico is a long and interesting one. From the ancient peoples who initiated the agricultural revolution about 9000 years ago to the pre-Columbian Mesoamerican civilizations which lived successfully for almost 4000 years before contact with the Europeans, these peoples are credited with many advancements and inventions in the fields of astronomy, architecture, mathematics, theology and medicine. The Mexican people have lived through colonization by the Europeans, a revolution, civil war and many eccentric leaders and two domestic dictatorships.

Historia
La historia de México es larga e interesante.
